Edward Earl “Scooter” Stafford, Jr. was born on February 18, 1966, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and passed away on October 6, 2026.

Scooter lived life to the fullest and was happiest when he was doing something he loved, especially when he could bring others along for the ride. He had a lifelong passion for motocross and spent many years racing across the country. A hardworking and driven man, Scooter owned and operated his own business as a home builder, taking great pride in his work.

When he wasn’t working, Scooter could often be found enjoying one of his many favorite pastimes. He loved old cars, fishing, and taking others fishing, but more than anything, he simply enjoyed bringing people together and making sure everyone around him was having a good time. Some of his favorite places were the beach and Venice, Louisiana, where he could enjoy the water, fishing, and the outdoors.

Scooter had an incredibly selfless heart and was always thinking of others. His children were especially important to him, and he always made sure they were taken care of. No matter how busy life became, he made it a priority to be there for them and never missed their sporting events. He was their biggest supporter, always present, always encouraging, and always proud.

Scooter will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his generosity, his love for a good time, and most of all, for the way he loved and cared for his family. The memories made on the racetrack, on the water, at the ballfields, and simply spending time together will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.

Scooter is survived by his children, Blake Stafford (Justin), Brooke Burns (Grant), and Ben Stafford (Robin); grandchildren, Grayson Burns and Cameron Burns; sister, Wendy Pate; and nieces and nephews, Kristina, Trevor and Michael.

Scooter is preceded in death by his father, Edward Stafford, Sr.; and mother, Vera Harris Stafford.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA on Friday, October 9, 2026 for a visitation starting at 11:00 AM until the memorial service following at 2:00 PM. Scooter has requested a relaxed and colorful attire for his service.
