Elias Joseph (EJ) Badeaux passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. Born in New Iberia Louisiana January 30, 1941, he was 84 years old. He was the parts manager for Duplessis Cadillac and retired after more than 45 years of service to the automotive industry. He was a veteran of the United States Army (SP4 (E-4)(T). He was stationed in Korea and Fort Lee Virginia.

EJ was preceded in death by his loving wife Judy Thibodaux Badeaux after 65 wonderful years of marriage, parents Fred and Celeste Badeaux, brother John Badeaux, brother-in-law Gerald Bourque, brother-in-law Richard Thibodeaux, and sister-in-law Janice Moreaux.

He has one loving daughter Mikelyn Marcomb and her husband Roger who he considered his son, as well as his grandchildren Blake Marcomb and Alaina (Brennen) Reed.

He is survived by his sister Vernice Sierra, brother in laws Morris Thibodeaux, Ronald (Stephanie) Segura, Bobby (Maggie) Wilson, Levi (Lori) Wilson, and sister in laws Linda Wilson, Verdis (Bob) Whitesel, and Lillian Thibodeaux.

Elias will be greatly missed. He loved his family dearly and was always ready for any family get together. As a young father he loved camping, fishing, boiling crawfish, frying fish, square dancing, trips to the beach, and any reason to get together with family and friends. Once he became a grandfather he loved taking his family camping and never missed his grand kids baseball games, soccer games, dance recitals, piano recitals, gym meets, and basketball games. He was known by everyone for his honesty and fairness.

Pallbearers will be Blake Marcomb, Brennen Reed, Bret Badeaux, Rod Thibodeaux, Thad Badeaux, and Jimmy Segura.

Honorary pallbearers will be JJ Bourque and Bruce Watson.

A visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 9:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral mass starting at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum.
