Eric Maurice Blount

Eric Maurice Blount, age 61, passed away on July 3, 2024. Eric loved hunting, fishing, and LSU sports, especially baseball.

Eric is survived by his daughters, Erika Sullivan (Spanky), Ashley Johnson, Brittnie Johnson; son, Kevin Smith (Tara); grandchildren, Adam Smith, Gabriel Carnley, Isabella Fawcett, Jacob Fawcett, Mariah Davis, Laila Gautreaux; sisters, Carla Blount Junker, Barbara Blount Martin; brother, Gary Blount; nieces, Nicki Harrell, Jennifer Blount, Bridget Soileau, Kristina Simoneaux, Crystal Sims; nephews, Johnny Blount, Gary Sims, Jimmy Martin; numerous great nieces and nephews.

Eric is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, father, Clifton Blount; mother, Audrey Oliphant Blount; sister, Vickie Blount.

Pallbearers will be: Spanky Sullivan, Johnny Blount, Ray Ambrose, Joe Oliphant, Shannon Simoneaux, Luke Haygood. Honorary pallbearer will be: Brock Bourgeois.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at Jena Nursing and Rehab and Heart of Hospice.

A visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home – Livingston on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 9am – 11am with a funeral service to begin at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Blount Cemetery.
