Gary Mitchell Nesom

Gary M. Nesom, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 19, 2025

He was born to the late Talmadge Dewitt Nesom and Mildred A. Laneaux. Gary had three sisters and was preceded in death by one. Gary was an animal lover with a passion for horses. In his younger years, he found joy in trail riding and caring for his beloved Jocque. That same passion carried over to motorcycles, especially his Harley-Davidson. Few things made him happier than the open road and wind in his face. He also cherished time on the Tickfaw River, where he found peace and contentment.

Gary shared a special bond with his cousin, Kim Nesom McKee, whom he lovingly called his little sister. He found his greatest joy spending time with Kim’s family- particularly her grandchildren Lincoln Cate, Karter Wayne, and Cooper James- who brought light and laughter into his life.

He will be remembered for his jovial spirit, his love of a good joke/prank and his uncanny ability to stump anyone with a random trivia question. His presence will be deeply missed.

In accordance with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held
