George Provost

George Provost of Denham Springs, LA passed away on December 8, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born in Pearl River, LA on January 5, 1933. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Sarah E. (Beth) Miller Provost; sons David Provost (Judy), Doug Provost (Charlotte); daughter Ellen Kerstens (Wesley); grandchildren: Michael, Christy (Aaron), Olivia (Jeremy), Derek, Eric, Ashley (John), Ben, Caryn, Caleb, Grant; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; brother Ralph Provost and Sister Elaine Pardue (Butch) ; Sisters-in-Law Nedrey Creel, Norma (Cille) Mack, Milda Porter and Lee Blanchard and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Ralph Provost Sr. and Byrl Parker; Son, Rowland Provost, Daughter-in-law Kathleen Provost; granddaughters Raquel Harvin and Melissa May; Brothers Frank “Nook” Provost and Jerry Creel; Sisters Hershel Kirkland and Catherine Oliver. Services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA led by Pastor Travis Cronin and Destry McFearin.
