Gerald Edward Wolfe Sr., 77, of French Settlement, passed away peacefully on August 6th, 2026, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family and friends.

Gerald was born October 7th, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Roy Garmeson and Lois Vera Marlboro Wolfe Garmeson. As a veteran of the U.S. Army of 2.5 years before becoming honorably discharged, Gerald proudly served his country with honor and integrity. Following his service, he built a career as a Senior Design Draftsmen in the industrial industry where he retired. 

Gerald was married to Patricia Kramer Wolfe for 54 years. Together, they raised three children: son, Gerald “Bubba” Wolfe Jr., son, Jeremy Wolfe (Karen), and daughter, Elisha Wolfe White (Barrett). Gerald loved making memories with his grandchildren Gavyn Rusk, Jada Wolfe, Grace Wolfe Young (Evan), Easton Wolfe (Claire), Landon Wolfe (Elise), Hayley Spinks Gros (Joey), Taylor White, and Christopher Bourgeois, Sr. Gerald’s love continued to grow with the love of his great grandchildren: Kynli Rusk, Huntleigh Gros, Christopher Bourgeois Jr., Cash Bourgeois, Taedom Rome, Laurel Young, Parker Wolfe, and Stetson Gros, sisters: Hazel “Tink” Varnado, Christina Guidry, and Lisa Autin. He also loved visiting with his many nieces and nephews that were close to his heart.

He was proceeded in death by: parents, Roy Garmeson and Lois Vera Marlboro Wolfe Garmeson, wife, Patricia Kramer Wolfe, Maurice “Padnor” Aydell, Flossie “Kate” Aydell, brothers, James J. Wolfe, Donald F. Wolfe, Roy “Rocky” Garmeson, and Kenneth W. Wolfe and sisters, Susan Wolfe Halker, and Karen Garmeson Anders.

Pallbearers Gavyn Rusk, Easton Wolfe, Landon Wolfe, Joey Gros, Christopher Bourgeois Sr., Evan Young, and Aaron Forsyth will be honored to carry their grandfather to his final resting place.

The family would like to thank Cardinal Hospice along with nurses, Tasha and Danielle, nurses aid, Jamie, social worker, Cathy and Chaplain James Womack who cared for Gerald and helped his family in their time of need.

Services will held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement, Louisiana, celebrated by Father Taylor and Deacon Jimmy Little. Time is as follows: immediate family visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., family and friends visitation 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., mass at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph Bereavement Committee.
