Albin, Gladys Mary Kimble, age 100, met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face-to-face on Friday, November 14, 2025. After a long life marked by grace, kindness, and unwavering faith, she entered her eternal home peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. A resident of Watson and a native of St. Helena Parish, Gladys was truly the sweetest, most Christ-like example of a godly woman, gentle in words, generous in spirit, and steadfast in her walk with the Lord.
Gladys dedicated her life to serving God and loving others. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church, where she faithfully worshiped, prayed, and lived out her faith with humility and joy. Her Bible was well-worn, her hands always ready to help, and her heart always open. She lived out Proverbs 31; faithful, strong, compassionate, and beloved by all who knew her.
She was a devoted wife for 67 years to her loving husband, Joseph “J.D.” Daniel Albin, and the two together built a family grounded in faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. Gladys was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her home was a place of peace, prayer, and warmth, where every person who walked through her door felt welcomed and cared for.
Visitation will be held at Live Oak Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Live Oak Baptist Church, 35603 Cox Avenue, Watson, LA 70706, from 9 am until Funeral Service at 11 am. A celebration of her life will follow at Killian Chapel Cemetery in Montpelier, where she will be laid to rest. Officiating will be Rev. Merlin McCon, Rev. Howard Turner and Rev. Johnny Morgan.
Gladys is survived by her children: Evelyn Ackerman of French Settlement, Elvia “Sam” LeBlanc and son-in-law, A.R. “Dickie” LeBlanc, of Watson, Randall “Randy” Edward Albin of Walker and widowed daughter-in-law, Judy Albin of Denham Springs. She is also survived by her Grandchildren
