Grace Hill Sullivan Katchur

Grace Hill Sullivan Katchur, longtime resident of Denham Springs, passed at the age of 87 on September 22, 2026. She was born in New Orleans, LA on September 25, 1938 to her parents George Percy Hill and Stella Reinninger Hill. Grace worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for many years. She was also a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church, a charter member of Dreams Come True, and Mystic Star Chapter #108 Order of the Eastern Star. In her freetime, she was happiest when painting, reading, dancing, or listening to music. Grace dedicated her life to creating a legacy of love and care that will live on through those she leaves behind.

She is survived by daughters Lynn Sullivan Futch and Theresa Sullivan Curtis (Daniel), grandchildren Chad Cressionnie (Krystal), Ric Futch Jr. (Dee), Landon Futch (Louise), Kristy Barclay (Hadyn Barclay), Ashley Talbot, Jayden Curtis (Peyton), and Landon Curtis (Danielle), great-grandchildren Avery Johnson, Aiden Oliphant, Adelyn Oliphant, Ellie Talbot, Ian Futch (Heather), Conor Futch, Travis Daniel Curtis Brianna Cressionnie, Garyn Cressionnie, and Jacelyn Gautreaux, great-great-grandchild Bentley Luke Scardina, and sister-in-law Sybil Wallendal (Dick).

She is preceded in passing by her husband of 45 years Alton L. Sullivan, husband of 20 years Steve Katchur, son Alton L. Sullivan Jr. “Poppy”, brother-in-law Mike Bass, niece Michelle Scivique, son-in-law Rick Futch, Sr., and grandchildren Damon Futch and Jason Sullivan.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home on Monday, September 29, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a service starting at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
