Guadalupe Andrade

Guadalupe Andrade, Jr., 79, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at home. Lupe proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He was a 35+ year member and Elder of Abundant Life Church in Denham Springs, LA. He also worked for many years as an accountant in the insurance industry. But his true passion was his family - working outdoors in his garden and making “Lupe’s Famous Salsa”. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is survived by daughters, Dana McLemore (Matt), Coral Andrade, and Denise Totah (Ron); sons, Mark Gillaspy (Kristien) and Matthew Gillaspy (Shandra); grandchildren, Andrew Gibson (Angela), Doug Gibson (Jasmine), Madelyn Murray (Christopher), Natalie Gillaspy (Carlos), Victoria Riley (Justin), Harrison Gillaspy (Abagayle), Lauren Bourgeois, Logan Brown, Landrie Gillaspy, Corban McLemore, Reina McLemore, Paige Hogan (Justin), and Zane McLemore; 12 great grandchildren; and brother, Richard Andrade (Nancy).

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Geraldine Ann Andrade; and parents, Guadalupe Sr. and Angela Andrews Andrade.
