Guy Stanhope St. Amant II, loving father and husband, passed at the age of 73 on April 30, 2026. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA on February 25, 1953 to his parents Anna Nancy Webb and Alvin Francis St. Amant. Guy received his associates degree as a radiographer and worked as an MRI technologist at Our Lady of the Lake hospital for 39 years. He was also a devoted volunteer for Second Chance Dog Rescue in Louisiana. He was also an all-around handyman, as he was able to remodel the family home all by himself. In his free time, Guy enjoyed fishing and mostly gardening. He loved to share his vegetables to neighbors and coworkers, and all of his friends said he grew the best tomatoes in all of Louisiana! Guy was extremely giving and would drop everything to help anyone in need, unconditionally. Guy’s life was filled with caring for others and selfless acts of service. He will be dearly missed by the many people who had the privilege to know and love him.

He is survived by his wife Julia Wright St. Amant, daughter Aime Spangenberg (Sefton), son Guy St. Amant, Michael St. Amant (Belle), and Ethan St. Amant, grandchildren Aubree, Avery, Andi, Maverick, Brooklynn, Phillip, and Marie, sisters Anna, Julie, Marianne, and Susan, and brothers John, Jim, and Marshall.

He is preceded in passing by his parents Anna Nancy Webb and Alvin Francis St. Amant, and infant brother Alvin.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Second Chance Dog Rescue of Louisiana.

A special thank you to Hospice of Baton Rouge for their love and care during this difficult time.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, June 14th from 1:00pm-5:00pm at 8718 Forest Hill Drive, Baton Rouge LA 70809.
