Helen B Steele

Helen B. Steele, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on September 6, 2025. She was born on January 23, 1936 in Natchez, Mississippi. She served as a mail clerk for many years at Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and was a member of Satsuma Baptist Church. She loved to cook, but above all she enjoyed being with her family, cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clem C. Steele; daughter, Terrie Crockford (Derrick); son, Michael T. Steele, Sr. (Lori); grandchildren, Jacob Roeling (Lauren), Carrie Laney (B.J.), Michael Steele, Jr. (Emily), Abrielle Steele, Camden Steele and Ainsley Steele; great grandchildren, Callie Wright, Camille Roeling, and Adley Laney; and her brother, George Byrd.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Lea and Ira George “Buddy” Byrd.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Steele, Sr., Michael Steele, Jr., Camden Steele, Jacob Roeling, B.J. Laney and Dale Matthew.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to LOPA (Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency Foundation) in Helen Steele’s honor.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Saturday, September 13, 2025 for a visitation starting at 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Graveside service to follow at Satsuma Baptist Church Cemetery.
