Herman Sirkis

Herman H. “Skip” Sirkis, 84, a native of Baltimore, MD and resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Skip was a graduate of LaPlata High School, LaPlata, MD, and also attended Calvert County Community College where he was the Freshman Class President. He worked for many years at a General Contractor and retired after 7 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed his time hunting, fishing and watching football, but most of all spending time with his family. He always tried to live by the golden rule…..treat others as I wanted to be treated – FAIR!!

He was preceded in death by his parents: Julius and Elizabeth Sirkis; sister, Marlin Sirkis; and brother, Thomas R. Sirkis.

Skip is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lemoine Sirkis; children, Matt Sirkis (Marti) and Adam Sirkis (Jessie); grandchildren, Matthew Sirkis and Megan Sirkis; nephew, John and Jennifer Laws and family, and James Laws; and niece, Stephanie Lemoine; and close friends, Karl Lobell, Ken Lown, and David Huval.
