Ila Marie de Veer

Ila Marie de Veer, resident of Central, passed at the age of 79 on March 4, 2026. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA on January 26, 1947 to her parents John Eddie Reine and Glarma Elizabeth Gautreau Reine. She was a longtime resident of Gonzales and Ascension parish. Ila had a passion for gardening and flowers, working as a florist for many years. She will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Carlin de Veer (Jacey), grandchildren Payten de Veer, Lexie de Veer, and Christian de Veer, sister Roberta Sheets, and cousins Ricky Sheets, Wanda LeBlanc, Cindy Richard, and Robin Anderson.

She is preceded in passing by husband Clifford de Veer Jr., father John Eddie Reine, mother Glarma Elizabeth Gautreau Reine, and friend George Foelsch.

Service information will be posted at a later date. A graveside service and burial will be held at Prairieville Cemetery.
