Jacqueline Faye Vail

Jacqueline Faye Gore Vail passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025 after a valiant fight with leukemia. She was able to be with family at home till she passed. Jackie was able to enjoy visits from many friends and tell stories of the past all the way till her last few days.

Jacqueline was known as Jackie until her first grandchild came and he gave her the name Gran Gran and that stuck, from then on she was Gran Gran. She was an awesome Gran Gran to everyone.

Jackie was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana February 19, 1935. To Jack and Catherine Gore. She married Jimmy H. Vail her high school sweetheart on September 25,1951. Jackie (Gran Gran) was 90 years old at her passing.

She was blessed with 4 children and 9 grandchildren. She loved being a mom and the grandchildren were a very special chapter in her life.

She wanted her children to have a Christian education, so she drove the school bus for 10 years for the Seventh day Adventist Junior academy, to help pay the tuition for their schooling.

She is survived by her first born son Steven D. Vail & his wife Connie Tullier Vail, their daughter Lori Patterson and her Husband Mark, Their children Avalon, Sage and Elijah, Her Daughter Cathy Vail Anderson and her husband John their sons Josh and Jonathan (wife Allison) & Brad Vail and his son Christian, and Darran Vail and his daughters Victoria & Kaylan her children Jace, Keely and Kah-Lavia

She is preceded in death by: her Mother Catherine Thompson and father Jack Gore, her husband Jimmy Vail and grandson Daniel Vail.

Her Services are being taken care of by Seale Funeral Services and a memorial will be held at the Zachary Seventh Day Adventist Church on December 7, 2025 at 3pm.
