James Thomas Edwards

James Thomas Edwards, resident of Denham Springs, passed at the age of 86 on July 29, 2026. He was born in Walker, Louisiana to his parents Guy and Mattie Edwards on December 12, 1939. After graduating from high school, James was proud to serve his country as a member of the United States Army. Once he returned from his service, he worked as a land surveyor for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors fishing. James will be dearly missed by those that had the privilege to know and love him.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his parents Guy Edwards and Mattie Chaney Edwards, and sisters Thadis Callendar, Agnes Martin, and Vera Blount.

There will be a visitation held at Plainview Baptist Church on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am with a service starting at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Plainview Baptist Church cemetery.
