James "Jim" Lester Spence

We are saddened to announce that James (Jim) Lester Spence, resident of Denham Springs, LA. passed at the age of 66 on July 28, 2026. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA. on December 21, 1959 to his parents Jessie A. Spence, Sr. and Lolita Rice Spence VanMatre

He is survived by his son, Sonny, step-daughter Linda, step-son Tony, sisters Norma Leahy (Tom), Lolita Lasyone (Ron) and Mona Spence, brothers John Spence, Joe Spence (Sharon), numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rushing, daughter Kathy, mother, father, and his brother Jessie A Spence, Jr., with a special acknowledgement to his maternal grandmother, Norma Blanchard Rice.
