James Davidson Lucas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James D. Lucas who died following a brief illness.

James was proud to be a Mason with the Denham Springs Lodge #297. James enjoyed working with his hands and was a retired carpenter. He also enjoyed watching LSU and Saints football, camping and Big Foot hunting.

He is survived by his mother, Beverly Lucas; brother, Steven Lucas (Darlene), nephew, Cody Millet; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Renita Lucas; son, James R. Lucas; father, James C. Lucas; and sister, Colleen Millet.

There will be a visitation held in the small chapel (large chapel is under renovation) at Live Oak Church in Watson, Louisiana on February 21, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM with service starting at 1:00PM led by Pastor Stephen Hebert.
