Janice Meyer

Janice Breland Meyer, resident of Baton Rouge, passed at the age of 78 on February 27, 2026. She was born to her parents Leo and Irene Breland on September 9, 1947. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and worked as a grant writer for DNR for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of The Baton Rouge Blues Society and loved live music events and festivals that featured local Louisiana artists. She will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Jordan B. Roux and life-long friend Odalie Babin.

She is preceded in passing by her beloved husband Charles J. Meyer, parents Leo Breland and Irene Breland Kruse, and former husband John B. Roux III.
