Janice Starks Thompson

1937-2024

Janice Starks Thompson, 86, a resident of Denham Springs Louisiana, passed from this life on Tuesday January 9, 2024 at the Harvest Manor nursing home.

Janice was a loving and devoted mother to her children. She served the state as a grant administrator for the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement for over thirty years.

Janice was preceded in death by, mother, Vera Applewhite, father, Elmus Starks, sister, Norma Piasecki, and brother, Roger Starks. She is survived by her brother, Dennis Frey and wife Sharon, son, Robert Hemminger and wife LaJuan, son, Michael Hemminger, sister-in-law, Gwen Starks, and daughter, Nancy Ann Teer and husband Brian, as well as four grandchildren Cole Teer, Eli Teer, Ella Teer and Olivia Elliot.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, at the Cole Cemetery, in Benton Kentucky on Saturday January 27, 2024.
