Jason P Bennett

Jason had a heart bigger than words could ever express. He loved his boys with everything in him, they were his whole world. He loved his family deeply, and had a kindness that reached the hearts of every person he came in contact with. Many he never knew, but no one was a stranger to him. He never had to know them, he simply loved them. Jason enjoyed fishing, cooking, and helping others. He loved and lived his life through music.

Jason’s most peaceful moments were spent on the water, fishing in the beauty of God’s creation. Out there surrounded by the quiet and stillness, he could breathe. For a little while he could lay down the weight of a lifetime of struggles and simply be at peace. Those moments meant more to him than most people ever knew. Jason fought battles that many never knew- But Jesus. Jesus walked beside him through it all. He knew Jason’s heart, knew his pain and walked beside him through every hard day. Jesus gave him the strength to keep going, even when he didn’t think he had anything left in him. And now, the battle is over. Jason is finally home, resting in the true peace of Christ, free from the struggles that weighed so heavily on him. We find comfort knowing that he is now seeing the fruits of his labor and experiencing the peace he longed for.

His boys, his family, and all those who were blessed to know him will carry his love with them. Jason may no longer be here with us to hold, but the love he gave us will never leave us. Even in death, Jason continued helping others by donating his organs and tissue.

Jason is survived by his boys- Parker Bennett, Garrett Bennett, and Kai Murray, mother and step dad, Janet and Feltus(FJ) Himel, Fiancé Julie Borne, brother Joey (Dawn) Bennett, half-sister Ashley Perry Brown, step-brothers Bart, Corey (Shaloya) Himel, nieces and nephews Shea, Maddox, Madden Bennett, Olivia, Teagan, and Dreux Himel.

Proceeded in death by father Randy Bennett, grandparents Huey (Ruth) Bennett, Lionel (Barbara) Roussel, and step-brother Brett Himel.

Celebration of life will be held and communicated at a later date.
