Jean W. Boyd was born on February 11, 1938, in Queen City, Texas, and passed away on November 27, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Jean was a proud high school graduate and a dedicated retired Walmart Associate. She was a faithful member of Judson Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending Sunday School and spending time in fellowship. Jean found joy in working with the flowers in her yard, nurturing beautiful blooms that reflected her gentle spirit. She also loved to paint, expressing her creativity through her artwork.
Jean will be remembered for her kindness, her warm heart, and the simple, meaningful joys she brought into the lives of those around her.
Jean is survived by daughter, Michelle B. Carter (James Carter), grandchildren Kayla & Brett Couvillion, Jenna & Jake Pulley, Kayla Duhon, Cody Carter, Lindsey Cooper, and great grandchildren Bryce Ballard, Keely & Kai Pulley, Kimber Boyd, Delilah & Leo Carter, and Clyde Couvillion. She is also survived by Kandy Fly (Christina), Lady Fields (Dennis), Julia Wilson, Buster Boyd (Francis), Jack Wilson, Al Coles (Milette), Doug Coles (Lori), Lance Coles (Rachal), her best friend of more than 50 years, Teresa Spencer, neighbor Al Tigner, and sister-in-law Mary Coles.
Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John C. Boyd, son, Michael Boyd, parents Tolbert & Rua Wilson, and brother Herman Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Brett Couvillion, Bryce Ballard, Clay Melvin, Keesler Fly, Kameron Fly, and Zack Carter.
The family would like to send a special Thank You to Buster Boyd and Al Tigner.
Visitation will take place on December 3, 2025, from 10am until the service beginning at 12pm at Judson Baptist Church. Burial immediately following at Light House Pentecostal.
