Jeff Derek
Fetter
Nov 8, 1979 — Aug 16, 2026
Livingston, Louisiana
Jeff Derek Fetter, 49, passed away at home on August 16, 2026.
Jeff was born on November 5, 1976, at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was raised in the Denham Springs and Walker area.
Jeff had a lifelong love of music - and if Jeff was listening to it, chances are everyone around him was listening to it, too. He liked his music loud and wasn't particularly concerned with keeping the volume to himself. He was always willing to lend a hand and help in whatever ways he could.
In recent months, Jeff had begun a new and deeply meaningful chapter in his life as he found Jesus and developed an interest in reading the Bible and learning God's Word. Knowing that Jeff was seeking and growing closer to the Lord before his passing has brought great comfort and peace to those who loved him.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Stan Fetter and Susan McCormick; his sisters, Sara Fetter and April Ryan; and his nieces, Rayna Villar and Layla Villar.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Randy McCormick; his grandparents, William Joseph Sharp and Bertha Jane Sharp; and his uncle, William Thomas Sharp, who played an important role in his life.
Jeff's life was his own, with its struggles, its simple pleasures, and its own path. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a part of a family that loved him. He will be remembered, and he will be missed.
The family finds peace in knowing that toward the end of his earthly life, Jeff had begun turning his heart toward Christ.
Jeff will be cremated according to his wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
