Jeffery Bryan Vogt

Jeffery Bryan Vogt, 73, was born on August 16, 1952, in Tylertown, Mississippi, and passed away on August 7, 2026, in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Jeff was a graduate of Thomas High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in education from Northwestern University. He was a free-spirited and funny man who truly enjoyed life and never missed an opportunity to make those around him smile. Above all, Jeff loved Jesus, and his faith was an important part of who he was.

In his younger years, Jeff enjoyed fishing and traveling, always appreciating the adventure of going somewhere new. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his free spirit, his love for life, and the joy he brought to those who knew and loved him.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Rachel Vogt Parsons; grandchildren, Charlie Rose and Preslie Nivole Parsons; brothers, Nahlon Vogt and wife, Michelle; along with nieces and nephews, Jeri Lynn Herring, Crescent Vogt, Kandra Lubarsky, Janaye Vogt, Lance Vogt, and Clint Herring.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mevoline Vogt; sister, Ivy Lynn Seal; and brother, Kerwin Vogt.

Jeff will be laid to rest in Thomas, Louisiana
