Jessie Dee Thompson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 15, 2025. Born on December 5, 1934, in Pine Grove, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Brecheen, Jessie lived a fruitful and faithful life surrounded by a loving family and friends.
After graduating from Denham Springs High School, she married the love of her life, Cecil, and worked as a dental assistant for over 30 years, raising four children. Jessie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Denham Springs. When she retired, she spent much of her time doing the things she loved - working in her yard, reading, working crossword puzzles, and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Cecil Ray Thompson; daughter Jennifer Lee Thompson Lagrone; son Cary Tod Thompson; 4 brothers, Milton Brecheen, Leon Brecheen, Charles Brecheen, and Clovis Brecheen; 6 sisters, Lovie Noble, Marie Wilson, Eunice Allen, Ruby Thornton, Helen May, and Myrtle Lee Brecheen.
She is survived by a son Tim Thompson (Lia); a daughter, Margaret Thompson Crifasi (Jim); grandchildren Cecil Zachary (Julie), Jason Thompson (Claire), Nathan Crifasi, Josh Crifasi (Hillary), Jeremy Thompson, and Amanda Thompson Gorey (Marisa); great-grandchildren, Jordan Zachary, Jude Zachary, Lauren Zachary & fiancé Alec May, Cameron Thompson, Mason Thompson, Austin Thompson, Axel James Crifasi, and Margaret "Mae" Zachary (arriving soon); numerous nieces and nephews; and her furry little friend "Ginger".
A special thank you to Teresa Zion, her long-term caregiver, who always brought her beautiful smile and gentle heart to work every day; Amiee Dixon, a caregiver who prayed and read scripture to her daily; and to Amedysis Hospice, especially her nurse, Danielle, for the love and care provided.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church Denham Springs, 27735 LA-16, Denham Springs, LA, on November 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Bro. Leo Miller, with special music provided by Matt Calhoun. Procession will follow to her final resting place at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Cecil Zachary, Jason Thompson, Nathan Crifasi, Josh Crifasi, Jeremy Thompson, Jordan Zachary, Jude Zachary, and honorary pallbearer Axel James Crifasi.
