Jimmie Lee Carter

Jimmie Lee Carter (Chandler), age 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 18, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1956, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was a longtime resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, James Leo Chandler and Gertrude Bergeron Chandler; her sisters, Elizabeth Lewis, Jenny Ruth Martin, and Linda Gunter; brothers-in-law’s, Dorman Lewis and Billy Gunter; and her beloved son, Kody Carter.

She is survived by her children, Kelly Daigle Crothers (Daniel Crothers) and Kerry Daigle (Angelique); and her cherished grandchildren, Brett Neuwirth (Meghan), Konnor Alford, Kerrigan Henderson (Jacob Henderson), Katherine Kippers, and Madison Crothers.

Jimmie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, including Tracy Stewart (Daniel), Jodie Collins (John), Tony Jarreau, Steven Jarreau (Trudy), Tina Lewis, and Blake Martin (Amber). She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Chandler (Lana); sisters, Marilyn Van Norden (Wilford), Brenda Wascom (Wayne), and Debbie Wascom; and brother-in-law, Timmy Martin, along with numerous extended family members and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff at Ochsner Hospital for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. A special thank you goes to case manager Michelle for her dedication, kindness, and comfort.

A Celebration of life will be on December 27, 2025, at Beyond the Walls Church-8045 Vincent Road, Denham Springs, La 70726 1 PM- 3PM with a service starting at 3PM. Service to be performed by Pastor David Brown
