Joan Clement passed away Wednesday, January 17,2024 at the age of 67, after a long illness.
Joan loved to cook, bake, read and travel and she followed Crusher’s Tournament baseball. She traveled extensively with her cousins Ann and David Kemp. She also traveled to New York, England, Switzerland and Germany with her nieces and the Livingston Parish Children’s Chorale. She is survived by her sisters (twin) Jann Delahoussaye (Perry) and Darrelyn Genre (Booley), 3 nephews and their spouses Brian Genre (Billi), Todd Genre (Michelle), and Brad Genre (Meaghan). One niece, Leslie Delahoussaye and her fiancé Tye Credeur and his daughter Ember Credeur. A Nephew-in-law Charles Stott, Sr. Grandnephews Trey and Tyler Long and Charlie Stott, Jr. and Christian Genre. Two Grand nieces Grace Genre and Alyssa Palmer (Louis)and their children Louis Roy and Kamryn.
Joan was predeceased by her maternal Grandparents Buckner and Eugenia Volentine LeBlanc, Paternal Grandparents Leslie A. and Edna Harris Clement, her parents Darrell and Irma Clement, a brother Leslie Gordon Clement and her niece Erin Delahoussaye Stott. Services for Joan will be Monday, January 22 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, with a funeral service immediately following visitation. Interment will be at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery on LA16.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and Great-nephews. The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to Joan’s caregiver, Joanna Pryer for the love, care and devotion she had for Joan and being our eyes and ears when we couldn’t be with her.
