Joel Allan Tagert

Joel Allen Tagert was born on March 15, 2011, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was loved and known for his infectious smiles. No matter the mountain of health issues he had to endure he always had that beautiful smile. He cheated death so many times by the grace of God. Amazed Drs, nurses, friends and family.

On August 19, at 7:17 PM God took him home. He is now with Jesus and dad, Eric. Proving God is always in control of our destiny. He is healed, and made whole, now free to run, talk, and do everything a little boy is meant to do- Joel is truly our superhero.

Joel is survived by his mother, Whitney Tagert, sister, Olivia Grace Tagert, Grandparents, Sonya and Michael Beadle, and Carla Tagert, Great grandparents, Daniel Beadle, and Ruth “Velton” Bergeron, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by his father, Eric Tagert, papaw, Dale Tagert, and pap-paw John “Henry” Bergeron.

Special thanks to all the prayer warriors that have held our family and Joel up over these 12 years. To all the emergency first responders, nurses, and doctors we love you but now Jesus and Dad have him.

I have traded this Earthly journey of a broken body and machines for a new journey in Heaven, healed and whole – “I Am Free!”

Celebration of life will be held at Revival Temple Church in Walker, LA, Monday, 8/28 from 6-8 PM. Tuesday, 8/29 Visitation from 9-11AM with services at 11. Burial at Minton Cemetery on Walker South.
