John Wayne Collier, age 80, of Livingston, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026. He was born on Tuesday, October 23,1945, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carmen Collier; sons, Ritchie Collier (Venice) and Anthony Collier (Kim); grandchildren, Chase (Lauren), Cody, Cameron (Zach) and Carley (Ethan); and great-grandchildren, Marshall and Malcolm, who is due to make his appearance in July, 2026. He is also survived by his siblings, Joyce Lacour (Harold), and Charles Collier (Reba); numerous niece and nephews, and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Joseph Collier and Lena Dias; brother, Joe Civello, and sister-in-law, Billie Civello.

John was a devoted family man whose greatest joy in life was spending time with those he loved. He built a successful career as a salesman in the industrial parts industry, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, knowledge, and ability to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues alike.

Outside of work, John enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, taking trips to the casino, and growing his collection of coins. Above all, he cherished his family and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandchildren, proudly attending any activity they participated in. His love, encouragement, and steady presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Collier may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to nurse Sheryl Schaffer with St. Joseph’s Hospice for the tender care and gentle kindness she provided.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mission of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 29589 S. Poplar St, Livingston, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. George Cemetery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
