John “Sonny” Reginald Landry, Sr.

John “Sonny” Reginald Landry, Sr., 89, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 at his home in Baton Rouge, LA. He served his country in the United State Coast Guard. Sonny enjoyed golfing in his earlier years, but his love was going to the horse races. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, John “Reggie” Landry, Jr. and Mike Landry; siblings, Patty Jo Rubique and Don Landry; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl “K.P.” and Isabelle Sommers Landry; and siblings, Shirley Thompson, Beryle Escarra, K.P. Jr and Gaynell Landry.
