John Elwood Rogers

Mr. John Elwood "Johnny" Rogers, age 71, passed away peacefully at his home on February 22, 2026, in Walker, Louisiana. Born on December 23, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Horace Rogers and Elva Cousins.

John was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who loved his family more than anything.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia Rogers; his daughter, Brandi Rogers (Aaron); and his son, Christopher Rogers. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Rogers; his stepmother, Frances Rogers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Horace Rogers; Mother Elva Cousins; as well as his brothers David Rogers and Mark Rogers.

Johnny’s life spanned over seven decades filled with cherished memories, laughter and meaningful connections. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
