Johnnie Ray Moran, age 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Denham Springs, LA. Mr. Johnnie grew up and went to high school in Flora, LA, but was a longtime resident of Denham Springs. When he was not actively working in sales, he would enjoy a nice country treat of a day of fishing or hunting.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Deirdre Smith Moran “Dee”; two sons: Jonathan Moran and Thomas Moran; two daughters: Lisa Ryder (Robin) and Lauren Alfonso (Jordan); two stepsons: Jeremy Laird and Jason Laird; ten grandchildren: Madison LaCaze (Cody), Reid Ryder, Mariella Alfonso, August Alfonso, Nevaeh Moran, Anabelle Johnson, Carter Moran, Ryleigh LaCaze, Cashlyn LaCaze, and Stetson LaCaze; five step grandchildren: Leighton and Hayden Laird and Junior, Nyla, and Eliana Laird; two sisters: Betty Richardson (Dan) and Yvonne Alost; nieces: Tracy Harper, Sissy Ciresi (Frank), Kim Eason (Doug), and Meghan Moran (Chris); nephews: Tommy Richardson (Patty), Dan Richardson (Kristi), David Richardson (Kristi), and Don Moran (Brenda); and other extended family and many friends which became family.

Mr. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Moran and Olivia Denton; a brother: Don Moran; one sister: Renee Dowden; and a brother-in-law: Bobby Alost.

The family wants to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, aids, and support staff at Clarity Hospice.

Seale Funeral Service was entrusted with final care and arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
