Jose “Tony” Sosa-Diaz, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on March 5, 2026. He was born on November 3, 1971 in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

Jose proudly served his country in the United States Army, air born. As well as served his community as a Lieutenant Detective for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.

He was the best loving husband, the greatest father, and grandfather. His wonderful smile and great character will be missed by his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sonia Sosa; sons, Joseph Sosa (Ashton), and Jonathan Sosa; daughters, Aliyanna Sosa; step children, Eric, Steven, Nicole, and Natalia; grandchildren, Joseph Sosa, Jr., and Bryson Sosa; brothers, Jose Enrique Sosa and Jose Angel Sosa; nephews, Brenden, Sebatian, and Christopher; and niece, Briana.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose A. Sosa.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 8:00 AM until the funeral mass at 10:30 AM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, in Zachary, Louisiana.
