Joseph Guerin

Joseph “Doc” Guerin, resident of Denham Springs, passed at the age of 100 on February 19, 2026. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to his parents Joseph and Virginia Langlos Guerin on September 16, 1925. Joseph was a proud veteran and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a Coca Cola sign painter for 37 years and was an avid member of Judson Baptist Church. In his free-time, he enjoyed spending his time gardening, wood-working, hunting, and fishing. Joseph will be dearly missed by those that had the privilege to know and love him.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years Mable Kimble Guerin, sons Lionel Guerin and Gary Guerin, daughter Linda Sue Guerin, grandchildren Danielle Wiggins (Brian), Brandie Guerin, Kenny Mickens (Sara), Stephanie Guerin, and Felicia Fuller (Kevin), great-grandchildren Tyler and Claire Wiggins, Mary Mickens, Kevin Jr. and Kenzie Fuller, and brothers C.B. Guerin (Kristi) and Ken Guerin (Jeanette).

He is preceded in passing by his parents Joseph Leon Guerin and Virginia Langlos Guerin, son J.L. Guerin, sister Olivia Parent and husband Byron, and sister Annabelle Martin and husband Sonny.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Wiggins, Ronald Paul Kimble, Kerry Kimble, Frank Kimble, Randy Albin, and Leroy Harrison.

There will be a visitation held at Judson Baptist Church (32470 Walker North Rd, Walker, LA 70785) on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 9:30am to 11:00am with a service starting at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Judson Baptist Church Cemetery.
