Joseph Aaron James

Joseph Aaron James, resident of Denham Springs, passed at the age of 77 on August 9, 2026. He was born in Denham Springs, LA to his parents Shelly Mitchell James and Alice Frances Sanders on October 23, 1948. Aaron served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a devout member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was also a member of IBEW Local 995 for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed travelling and spending his time outdoors, especially while gardening. However, he was happiest when getting to spend time with his grandchildren. Aaron leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will continue on through those he is survived by.

He is survived by his daughters Jody Colvin (Chad), Lisa Gillen (Matt), and Alice Prestridge (Jonathan), and grandchildren Abren (Belén), Hayden, Audrey, Alivia, Lucas, Kamden, and Ian.

He is preceded in passing by his wife Rachael James, parents Shelly and Alice James, and sister Anne James.

There will be a visitation held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with a service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Beechridge Cemetery in Denham Springs, LA.
