Joseph Gralynn Johns, 63, passed away on September 23, 2026. Joseph was born July 10, 1963, in Natchez, Mississippi, to William Douglas Johns and Paula Sontoyo Johns.
Joseph's life, like many, followed a path that was uniquely his own. Though the years brought distance and circumstances that sometimes kept him apart from those in his family, his passing brings a time for reflection and remembrance. His family chooses to remember the moments they shared and to honor his life with grace and peace.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Justina Marie Conner and Erin Sloane Prince; his sister, Tiffany Johns Ellis, and her husband, David A. Ellis; his brother, William David Johns; as well as his grandchildren and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Douglas Johns and Paula Sontoyo Johns, and his brother, Michael Shannon Johns.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Stephanie and Raymond Lemoine, Scottie Whittington, and Glen Harrigill, whose friendship, care, and support were an important part of Joseph's life throughout the years.
With Joseph’s passing, those who knew him will each carry their own memories of him, and his family hopes that he has found the peace that can sometimes be difficult to find in this life.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Riverside Baptist Church, 223 Jefferson Street, Vidalia, Louisiana 71373. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a gathering for shared memories in the fellowship hall.
