Joy Tate Covington

Joy Tate Covington, a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana, entered her Heavenly home on November 23, 2025. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, and was reunited with her devoted husband, William “Billy” Covington.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Norma Tate; her brother, Gerald Tate; her brother-in-law, Marion Covington; and the love of her life, her husband, William “Billy” Covington.

She is survived by her children, Craig Covington (Angela) and Shannon Fuentes (Jamie); eight grandchildren, Dustin Covington (Hannah), Codi Taylor (Mark), Shea Covington, Melinda Blackmon, Treston Blackmon, Chase Swann, Tommy Fuentes (Kirsti), and Matthew Fuentes; and five great-grandchildren, Ryder Covington, Luke Covington, Baker Covington, Kase Taylor, and Macie Blackmon. She is also survived by her sister, Kay Harris; her sister-in-law, Joanne Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Friday, November 28, from5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and will resume on Saturday, November 29, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Wes Courtney. Burial will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Covington, Chase Swann, Tommy Fuentes, Matthew Fuentes, Mark Taylor, and Dwayne “Redbug” Richard.

Joy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and the profound love she held for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
