Juanita Wilda Reed Tate, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, peacefully at Harvest Manor. She was 95. Juanita was a member of The Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Denham Springs. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Cecil Tate, Sr.; son, Willie “Billy” Tate, Jr.; grandson, Hugh Errol Bertrand; great-grandson, Cody Ray Corkern; parents, Alice LeFleur and Edward Lawrence Reed; siblings, June Sebastian, Edward L Reed, Jr., Mamie Godso, Dorothy Fontenot, Jimmy LeFleur, and Violet LeFleur Celestine.
Juanita was survived by her daughters, Katherine Spradley, Madeline Tate, and Joy Woolfolk (Michael); 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 30 great great-grandchildren; and sister, Jessie Richard.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Tuesday, November 25, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dustin Grimmett, John Corkern Sr, Joel Bertrand, Kevin Hicks, Dusty Stewart, and James Desmond. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Tassin and Huey Bertrand. Services will be performed by Brother Mike Allen.
A very special thank you to the staff of Harvest Manor for the care and love given to Juanita and our family, especially the CNAs, Krystal Jolla, Dianne Robinson, Bernice Self, Brittany Perry, Lavisha Sanford, Danielle Cooner, and Taliah, Casey Keith and Barbara Miller, and the nurses, Lakeatha, Chelsey, Michelle, Shawn, and Morgan.
