Psalms 103:
“Bless the LORD, O my soul"

Judy Allen Vail was received into the loving arms of Jesus while surrounded by loved ones on June 16, 2026, at 2:20pm, at the age of 71. She was raised in Denham Springs, LA and grew up in the Amite Baptist Church community.

She was a kindhearted, smart, cheerful, loving, caring and faithful woman who gave her all to everyone she met. She was a true matriarch of her family and she found so much pride and joy in all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved painting, singing, playing music, fishing, reading her Bible and spending time with her family.

Judy left an outstanding impression on anyone she encountered. You could feel heaven in her hugs and no one could make you feel like she did when she embraced you. She always found an opportunity to share her faith and to remind you to “trust in Jesus” and that’s just what she did during her entire cancer journey. She never lost faith that she would be healed and made sure everyone knew she wasn’t going to quit fighting… and now her fight is over she is whole and healed in paradise.

Our hearts are broken but we rejoice in knowing she is in her eternal home!

Judy Vail is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Watson and Nicole Vicknair; son-in-laws, Randall Mark Watson, Jr. and Kirby Vicknair; brother, Michael Allen; sister-in-law, Faith “Tootie” Allen; grandchildren, Kylie Sanders (Elijah Ubas), Ethan Taber (Rachel Tyler), Kaelyn Vicknair, Ava Vicknair and Elizabeth Vicknair; great grandchildren, Lylah Taber, Elijah Zayne Ubas, Kingston Ubas, and Grayson Taber; mother-in-law, Bennie Vail; sister-in-law, Karen Holmes; nieces, Candace Messenger, Taylor Allen and Jenna Smith; Nephews, Mike and Josh Dantin, and Thomas Vail and Axxell Smith; Aunt, Myrtle Allen Blowers; many cousins, great nieces and great nephews, many friends and many people she loved as “family.”

Preceded in death by Father, Louis Dixon Allen: Mother, Clara Kiper Allen; Husband, Robert Clint Vail; Uncles, James Graham Kiper and Jerry Blowers; Cousin, Andy Blowers; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Randall Watson, Jr., Kirby Vicknair, Ethan Taber, Elijah Ubas, Michael Allen, and Jamie Kiper.

The family would like to thank the staff of Woman’s Cancer Center, Mary Bird Perkins and Hospice of Baton Rouge for all their love and care during Judy Vail’s treatment.
