Karla Jean LaCombe Jones, 66, of Denham Springs, LA passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born on January 22, 1959 in New Roads, LA to Raymond and Jean LaCombe. Despite being born with major health issues requiring immediate surgeries at birth and in early childhood, she defied all odds and lived a long, full life. Her family is grateful to have had the privilege of loving and being loved by her.
Karla was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jean LaCombe; her brother, Bobbie LaCombe; and her nephew, Donnie Miletello. She is survived by her sons, Travis Orillion and Tyler Orillion, as well as her beloved grandchildren. She also leaves behind two devoted sisters, Mona Brown (Allen) and Pam Moore (Don); one brother, Chuck LaCombe (Jan); and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
Karla attended the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired where she made lifelong friends who meant the world to her. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family- whether it was playing games, talking, teasing each other or simply being together. She had a playful side and loved being silly. Her deep love for the Lord radiated through her sweet and gentle spirit, one that was both genuine and heartfelt. Her faith was evident in the way she loved and cared for her family and everyone she met.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Thursday, July 10 from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m officiated by Pastor Larry Russo. A Graveside service will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery, Hwy 81, Lottie, LA at 12 p.m. Pallbearers will be John Brown, Jameson Devall, Bobby (BB) Moore, Brandon LaCombe, Austin LaCombe, and Gary Bond. Honorary Pallbearers are Allen Brown and Derrick Johnson.
Karla had a special place in her heart for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude in her memory.
Karla will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. She will be dearly missed.
