Our beloved mother was welcomed into the arms of her savior on Friday 9/11.

Katie Langley was a loving and caring woman whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with the people she loved, especially her children, treasured grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Katie loved spending time with her family and making memories that will be treasured forever. She also enjoyed traveling to Mississippi with her sister, spending time making jewelry, and decorating her home. But anyone who knew Katie would tell you that her favorite hobby of all was talking. Katie never met a stranger. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, and her warm personality, laughter, and stories could brighten any room.

Katie’s greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply. Her love was felt in countless ways—in the conversations she shared, the memories she created, the wisdom she offered, and the countless moments she spent simply being there for the people she loved.

Katie is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Langley Sr.; her children, Julie Oliphant and husband Chris, Tammy Fulcher, Kelly Palmer and partner Annette, Jim and Lisa Langley; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Smith and husband Tyler Smith, Gage Oliphant, Austin Fulcher, Carolina Fulcher, Dreux Palmer, Drake Palmer, Seth Langley, Sarah Langley, Kip Montero and Megan Gendusa and her great-grandchildren, Berkely Smith and Jaycee Smith.

She is also survived by her siblings, Julia Higginbotham and Jesse McCorkle, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her dearly.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Julia McCorkle; her brothers, Donald McCorkle and Russell McCorkle; and her sister, Nettie Toms .

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we are forever grateful for the time we were blessed to have with Our mom. Her love, laughter, wisdom, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always.

She will be forever missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. The love she gave so freely will continue through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.

She may no longer be with us, but her love will remain a part of us forever.

A visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Friday, September 18, from 12 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com.
