Katherine LeBlanc Wool, age 80, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. She was born on January 14, 1946, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Arthur Leon LeBlanc Jr. and Audrey Clement LeBlanc. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Arthur Gordon LeBlanc; and her beloved son, Bryant Hammack.
As a child, Katherine moved with her family to Denham Springs, where she loved being part of the large and lively Clement family. She attended Denham Springs High School and Louisiana State University. Her local claim to fame was being Miss Pine Tree Festival Queen.
Katherine enjoyed reading, gardening, decorating her home, hosting holidays and gatherings, and spending time with family and friends. Some of her favorite organizations that she participated in were the Denham Springs Garden Club, the Krewe of Romany, and the Suburban Reviewers Book Club.
Known lovingly as “Kaki” by her grandchildren, Katherine treasured every moment with them. They brought immense pride and joy to her life, and she cherished every school event, holiday celebration, and family trip together.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Warren August Wool; her daughter, Laura Hammack Gautreaux and husband Christopher Alexander Gautreaux; her son, Jason Bryant Hammack and wife Kristy Bruce Hammack; and her beloved grandchildren, John Alexander “Jack” Gautreaux, William Alexander “Will” Gautreaux, Katherine Claire Gautreaux, Devin Tyler Hoover, Isabella Jewel Hammack, and Grayson Alanson Hammack.
She is also survived by her sister, Anne LeBlanc Pentecost; her nephew, Van Lowery “Trey” Pentecost III; and many treasured family members and dear friends, especially her cousins Billie Clement Parker and Ann Clement Kemp, her sissy Angela O’Neal Mashon, and her lifelong best friend, Jo Eva Peak Rovira.
Katherine will be remembered for her kindness, hospitality, and the love she shared with family and friends.
A private gathering will be held to celebrate Katherine’s life. The family deeply appreciates your love and support during this time.
