On Thursday, July 2, 2026, Keith James Amond of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by family and friends alike at the age of 59. A Native of Baton Rouge, Keith spent the majority of his career as a skilled sheet metal worker as well as long haul truck driver. Despite long hours be it in the shop or on the road, Keith always took time to show devotion to all those special to him. As an avid outdoorsman, his passion of hunting, fishing, and bow fishing was overshadowed only by the love he took in teaching these skills to his children. His passion for passing down his knowledge could also be seen in the home, as he favored wood carving, metal work, and specialty cooking. All of which he never hesitated to share with his children. Surrounded by family and friend alike, Keith gave his final words with grace, dignity, and love. He will be dearly missed by all of those who's hearts and lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ray Amond. He is survived by his mother, Christine Ruth Varnado; brother, Kevin Amond; sister-in-law, Monica Amond; niece, Makenna Thomas; nephew, Kaden Amond; son, Jesse Floyd; daughter-in-law, Leanne Floyd; his daughters Mandy Amond and Allie Hall; son-in-law, Caleb Hall; grandchildren, Gabriella and Oliver Hall; as well as many other relatives and close friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caretakers at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice and Our Lady of the Lake for the care and kindness shown through this difficult time.

The burial will be held at Seal Cemetery on Sander’s Road Franklinton LA 70438, Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. at 17236 Sanders Road, Franklinton LA 70438.
