Kellie Blough Forbes, who was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away at Baton Rouge General Medical Center on May 3, 2026, at the age of 54. Out of all things, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends. She also enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, cooking, crocheting, and other miscellaneous DIY projects. Her famous words were “I can make that!” Kellie was a caring soul. She worked in the medical field as a medical assistant for many years, after her two daughters were born, she decided to part ways with her career, but her compassion for the medical field and caring for others never left. Kellie was a great friend to many and was proud of her family. Kellie is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Thomas W. Forbes; children Chloe Marlene Forbes and Abigail Louise Forbes; mother, Dorothy Fye Blough; siblings, Kim Seal (Ronnie Seal) and Jeff Blough; father-in-law, Rodney Dexter Cockerham; sisters-in-law, Toni Freeman, Regina Blough, Marie Cockerham Boyte (Joe Boyte), Lilly Farrar (Billy Farrar), and Genie Brister; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kellie was preceded in death by her father William Blough, Sr.; her fraternal grandparents, Betty Bell Blough and Sheldon E. Blough; her maternal grandparents, Dorothy Fye and Wellington Fye; her brothers Brian Jaye Blough, and William Martin Blough, Jr. “Marty”; her great nephew Zachary Joel Gamino; and great niece Hannah Grace Gamino. Kellie was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
