Kenneth Marvin Shields, 82, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 11, 2025 at his home in Walker, Louisiana. Ken was a 1960 graduate of Montebello High School in Montebello, California. He worked for many years with Dani ell Battery as a Production Manage r before retiring. He always enjoyed cooking for his family, spending summers a t Lake Almanor on the family boat, traveling, spending time with h is family — especially watching LSU and Saints football. He was a devoted husband and family man and will be truly missed by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Bernice Shields; and sisters, Marta Schlotfeldt and Iris Marlen e Humphries; brothers, Robert Shields and Phillip Shields;
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Susan Shields; son, Ken Shields (Amy) ; daughters, Tracy Shields and Kristin Slater (Bart); grandchildren, Dayna Duplechain (James), James Nall III, Holly LaFountain (Josh), Brandon Nall, Dani McMillin (Christian), Holden Sanches (Nicole), Haley Hostler (Bradley), Sophia Blakeman (Ryan), Olivia Vice, and Madison Shields; great-grandchildren, Mason Duplechain, Addison Duplechain, Parker Duplechain, Cohen Nall, Rowen LaFountain, Emery LaFountain, Lily Faulks, Eli Hostler, Riley Hostler, and Hazel Hostler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
