Kevin Perry Harris

Kevin Perry Harris, 66, passed away on Dec. 15, 2025, peacefully at his home with his family in Springfield, LA. Kevin was born on Feb 22, 1959. He was a native of Denham Springs where he attended Denham Springs High School. Kevin worked as an iron worker for J. Reed Erectors for over 40 years, before retiring the summer of 2025. During his last 25 years with the company, he traveled to 24 states, where he built over 60 new fire tower training and tactical buildings.

Kevin enjoyed hunting, Sunday family dinners, fishing with his brother, having a beer in the evenings with his neighbor, cooking for his family and friends at his home and talking to anyone he met. He truly was a friend to all and will be missed deeply by everyone who knew him.

 Kevin is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Carboni Harris; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lacey Harris and Asheli and Shane Rush; a son Kevin Ray Harris; three grandsons, Austin Harris, Jeramy Harris and Bryant Harris; a granddaughter Madison Shayne Rush and a great granddaughter Jovi Mary Ann Harris; sister and brother-in-law Debra and Bruce Casey; and his brother Don Harris; numerous nieces and nephews and life long friends, Mr. Rick Runnels, the Methvien family, the Luneau family, the Melvin Wheat family, the J.W. Shaffett family, the Arnold family and the Spence Family. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Harris; paternal grandparents, Ransom and Elsie Harris; mother, Juanita Harris Adkins; maternal grandparents, Simon and Stella Aydell; brother Randy Harris. 

Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Sunday Dec. 21, 2025. Visitation at the funeral home chapel from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday Dec. 22, 2025. Interment will immediately follow at Felders Cemetery Denham Springs.

Pall Bearers will be his son, grandson and nephews, Kevin Ray Harris, Austin Harris, Charles Harris, Eric Harris, Joey Tull and Joseph Carboni Jr.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Rick Runnels, Joseph Carboni Sr., Wayne Methvien, Lloyd Hutchinson, Melvin Wheat, Jasen Arnold and Thomas Spence.
