Kirt Carmello, a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away August 5, 2026 at the age of 63.
Kirt was born in Opelousas to Consacion “Johnny” and Rose Carmello. After graduating, he went on to pursue a career as a successful Machinist for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed tending to his garden, playing pool, and raising cattle. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by children, Callie Stojak (Anto), Quentin Carmello (Blaine), and Tyler Carmello; grandchildren, McKenzie, Harper, Liam and Sawyer; sisters, Johnette Gooding (George) and Sylvia Beard (Layne), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
He is preceded in death by parents, Consacion “Johnny” and Rose Carmello.
A graveside service will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
