Leon Dan Sterling

Leon Dan Sterling was born into the union of Dan and Lucy B. Sterling on January 27, 1942. He was baptized at an early age at Magnolia Baptist Church. He retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad after 34 years of service and was a lifelong New Orleans Saints fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Sadie S. Guidroz(Ernest), brother Darryl Sterling and a beloved nephew Victor Marvin Sterling. He leaves a legacy of 3 daughters and 2 sons. Malea Sterling, Shela Oliver(Kevin), DeAnn Bias(Patrick), Patrick and Dewayne Sterling. He leaves behind 3 incredible grandchildren. Kayla K. Thomas, Patrick K. W. Bias II and Faith A. Bias of Friendswood, TX. He also leaves behind a cherished and beloved niece Joyce Denise Williams. A graveside service will take place at 9:00 AM on Thursday July 18, 2024 at Evergreen Memorial Park.
