Lewis Edward Wingard, Sr.

Lewis Edward Wingard, Sr. born in Columbia, South Carolina and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away August 5, 2025 at the age of 79. Lewis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Shortly after, he made a career as a welder, which he did most of his life. He had a passion for cars and racing, which was evident to all who knew him. He never missed watching a NASCAR race and found joy in the thrill of racing. In his younger years, he had a passion for travel and exploring new cultures. These adventures led him to live in many different states throughout his life. His adventurous spirit and kind heart will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by children, Jessie Wingard, Joseph “JoeJoe” Rousseau (Whitney), Lewis Wingard, Jr., Shane Wingard and step-son, Nicholas Rousseau (Tracy); grandchildren, Caleb McNabb(Alexis) , Blayne Rousseau, Michael “Santana” Wingard, Joseph Wingard, Delayney Wingard, Aubrey Wingard, Savannah Wingard, Cody Wingard, Kaston Collins and Vaelyn Collins; great-grandchildren, Presleigh Watson, Kynleigh McNabb, and Ian Wingard; as well as brother, Grady Frick.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Brooks and Vera Wingard.

Services will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Monday, August 11, 2025 with visitation from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM and service beginning at 7:00 PM.
