Lucille Grace Spiller Eccles

Timothy 4:7-8

" I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing."

On Tuesday, June 16th at approximately 2:20pm, Lucille “Grace” Spiller Eccles entered into the loving arms of Jesus, whom she so faithfully loved and served for over 70 years. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and prayer warrior. She enjoyed studying her Bible, spending time with family, tending to her flowers and plants, and collecting antiques.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two grandchildren: Joseph Eccles (wife Jennifer) and Tiffany Eccles; five great-grandchildren: Zoey Eccles, Ayden Dean, Jordan Dean, Lily Eccles, and Sophia Eccles; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ethel Clyde “E.C.” Spiller and Ella Scott Cowart Spiller; husband Marvin Eccles; son Chester Eccles; brothers S.B. Spiller, E.C. Spiller Jr., Callie Spiller, Leroy Spiller, George Spiller, and Philip Spiller. Sisters Johnnie Wheat, Jenny Hood, Harriet Thompson, and Maxine Thompson. Grandson-in-law Christopher Dean.

Visitation will be held at Abundant Life Church, on Wednesday, June 24th from 9am to until Celebration of Life service at 11am. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
