Ludlow “Bowman” Baynard, resident of Denham Springs, passed at the age of 85 on January 23, 2026. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to his parents Ludlow Buard Baynard and Gladys Saizan Baynard on February 6, 1940. He worked for D.H. Holmes, Sears for many years, and drove for Riverside Limousine. Bowman was also a proud military veteran after having served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He loved hunting, fishing, and frogging when young, as well as playing golf and camping. He will be dearly missed by those that had the privilege to know and love him.
He is survived by his spouse of 62 years Joan Ledet Baynard, daughters Yvonne Baynard Strength and Ann Renee Rowland, sons Louis Brian Baynard and Joseph Buard Baynard, grandchildren Candise Waters, Brittany Strength, Sam Strength, Gennie Strength, John Baynard, Sarah Rowland, Christopher Rowland, Laura Rowland, Paul Rowland, Heather Baynard, and Trey Baynard, great-grandchildren Taylor Farnsworth, Stevie Hayes, Maeson and Matthew Britter, Maverick and Sophia Strength, Morgan and Madison May, Maddow Strength, and Vera Dukes, great-great-grandchild Winona Farnsworth, and best friend Ray Jarreaux.
He is preceded in passing by his parents Gladys Saizan Baynard and Ludlow Buard Baynard.

There will be a Mass held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on February 6, 2026 at 11:00am.
